Foundation - Gaal Synnax Costume

In August 2019 Kurt and Bart reached out to help them realise a selection of costumes for the first two episodes of Apple TV+’s new tentpole science fiction show, Foundation.

Kurt and Bart had found some amazing references of transparent leather which formed the basis of Gaal’s costume alongside imagery of traditional Inuit garments and large fisherman coats. The narrative behind the garment was inhabitants of Synnax would dry out seaweed, or algae, into large strips that would then be bound together to provide weathertight protection
