Foundation Season 03: Emergency EVA Suit

The script required an emergency/maintenance EVA suit for Dawn, designed to be practical and versatile. Inspired by the size and bulk of vintage deep-sea diving suits, the design ensured a plausible one-size-fits-all fit for diverse wearers.

I incorporated an internal structure that could compress or expand, similar to old submarine evacuation suits, for enhanced adaptability.

The design process began with exploratory sketches in Photoshop to establish a clear direction. I then developed the concept further in Blender, creating a detailed 3D model of the suit, with a focus on the helmet, which was tested by production to with virtual camera lenses to ensure it would function on set. Ultimately, I delivered the final 2D artwork alongside a complete 3D model of the suit and helmet for production use.
